Iron Range Mind Trekkers STEM Showcase

October 24th, 2015 | 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

This event is free of charge and open to the public.

The showcase is a big Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) extravaganza hosted by Michigan Technological University’s Mind Trekkers.  Email them at mindtrekkers@mtu.edu.

Mind Trekkers is a nationally recognized traveling “road show” that conducts huge STEM showcases across the nation. The goal is to get students excited about STEM at a young age and encourage them to purse STEM related fields in college.

Iron Range Engineering students and students from Itasca Community College will be working side-by-side with Mind Trekkers students to conduct dozens of hands-on STEM related activities.

In addition to Mind Trekkers, Iron Range Engineering and Itasca Community College students, a wide variety of area organizations and companies will be conducting hands-on STEM-related activities. (We expect over 90 tables of fun!)

Mind Trekkers in 2014 was in all likelihood the largest STEM showcase ever held in this area and we expect a larger attendance this year.
