Join us for two different Ojibwe Arts Workshops!  Both of these workshops are free and open to the public!

We will be offering a hand-drumming workshop which will expose visitors to the musical traditions of Ojibwe drumming, shakers and vocal patterns.  Artist and instructor Sharon Day will offer this workshop titled “Good Vibrations” in which she informs participants of the history and the importance of drumming to daily life while teaching them to use drums and shakers.

This workshop will be first come, first serve for up to 30 people.

We will also offer a Native American beading class led by artist and instructor Leanne Johnson.  Students will gain a greater awareness of Native American art through beadwork.  In this class, you will be making a daisy chain necklace.

This workshop will need reservations for up to 20 people.  Please call us at 218-254-7959 to make your reservation today!

This activity is made possible in part by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
