Laurentian Chamber of Commerce COVID-19
March 20, 2020 – Laurentian Chamber Members:
Good afternoon Members, Businesses and our Community,
The Laurentian Chamber of Commerce has created a survey for our Members and Local Businesses to assess how they are impacted by COVID-19 and how we as a Chamber can assist you with your individual business needs.
We ask that you please take a few minutes to complete the survey. The link is listed here below:
Also just a reminder, that the toolkit from the Minnesota Chamber includes a survey, recorded webinars with state leadership and valuable business resources. The toolkit should be checked often since they are constantly updating with resources as they develop. Yesterday’s webinar included information on emergency FMLA. Please bookmark the link. Thank you for time, patience and understanding during this difficult time. Together as a community we will get through this.
March 16, 2020 – Laurentian Chamber Members:
The Laurentian Chamber of Commerce, in accordance with guidelines from state, federal and local officials, will postpone all scheduled meetings and events for the next 30 days. That includes the Chamber’s Annual Dinner on April 3,2020 which will be rescheduled later this year.
We are considering actions that keep the safety of our staff and volunteers in mind while seeking to provide a timely delivery of Chamber services for our members.
We are not closing the Laurentian Chamber, and will continue to advocate for the local business community in a way that also protects chamber staff and members.
The Chamber is open for business and moving to a work distancing model. We are exploring alternative communication options including virtual, call-in and remote methods for our staff and committee work activities. We are seeking guidance, best practices and advice from the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and government officials.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this very difficult time.
