On December 11, 2024, the Laurentian Chamber of Commerce joined North Star Credit Union to celebrate a significant milestone: their one-year anniversary at their Mountain Iron location and an impressive 85 years of service as a Credit Union. The celebration was nothing short of spectacular, featuring a delightful open house and a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony that left everyone smiling.

A Festive Celebration The open house, held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., was brimming with holiday cheer and community spirit. Attendees indulged in free desserts, sipped on hot cider, coffee, and cocoa from the cocoa bar, and enjoyed a chance to mingle in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. A special highlight of the day was the opportunity to snap photos with Star the Yeti, North Star Credit Union’s beloved mascot.

Guests also explored the vibrant Holiday Market, showcasing local vendors offering specialty desserts, Christmas wreaths, charming gnomes, massages, charms, permanent jewelry, and unique gifts. It was a perfect way to embrace the holiday season while supporting local businesses.

Marking the Occasion At noon, the ribbon-cutting ceremony took center stage. The grand finale was truly unforgettable as bright blue confetti cannons burst into the air, marking the occasion with a colorful flourish!
